Cairo – Mubasher: Returns on the Egyptian government’s treasury bonds have decreased in Sunday’s auction, as the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) decided to maintain interest rates, according to date released by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Treasury bonds worth EGP 6 billion to mature within 91 days were issued at an average return of 14.775% down from 14.921% recorded in the previous auction, according to the ministry’s website.

The MoF also said it issued bonds worth EGP 5.5 billion to mature within 266 days, which return decreased to 16.394% compared to 16.42% in last week’s auction.
